Operators are expected to adjust licensing frameworks to accommodate a more stringent regulatory baseline. Meanwhile, the Irish regulator GRAI began distributing remote betting licenses on 1 July, with gaming licenses planned for a later phase. The Irish market remains an English-speaking European Union jurisdiction with a regulatory authority at the beginning of its operational cycle.
